OUR STORY
From Pasture to Produce, Ka'ili Malie Farms sits on 30 acres above the town of Pahala. With no direct plan for the property at the time, a fraction of it became home to a few work horses belonging to Rodney "Poncho" Freitas who had been an employee of the land owner. Throughout the course of 10 years, the surrounding acreage continued to house neighboring livestock. After the passing of Poncho in 2012, the entire property was placed for sale in 2013 in which Poncho's son Rodney "Kini" Freitas was presented with not only the opportunity to become a farm Owner, but with a greater opportunity to carry out the dreams of his father, while creating a legacy of his own. From ground preparation to hand planting coffee trees, an immense effort was set forth by Kini and his Ohana to bring you what is now Ka'ili Malie Farms.
